What can I say? I grew up dreaming with my exchange year. When I was 14 years old I decided to go to Canada but it didn't work. Then I started to look for a way to realize my exchange dream. Two years later I found AFS-American Field Service and I hosted an american girl who call Sylvia for 8 months, it was just amazing. I got to know her culture, her friends, her speak, her food... I can not explain how wonderful it was! When she went back to USA, it was my turn... My name is Lara and I had a German Dream!
I stayed for 11 months in Germany have knowing their culture, their costumes, their way of life... and it wasn't too easy. I had to learn how to speak german, I had to become a normal german girl... and I loved it! I miss Germany every day since I came back to Brazil. I miss my friends, my family, the weather, I miss Dönner Kebab SO MUCH!!! I don't have words to tell how important this experience was to me. I traveled a lot, I drank a lot, I met a lot of people for only one day (and these people became very important for me).
I'm so glad to had the opportunity to go to Germany, to get to know a lot of people, to learn my third language and to grow a lot as person. Germany, I love you so much!!! Deutschland, Ich habe dich so viel Lieb!!!
